Legal Advocate

Saving Grace is seeking a full time (35 hours per week) Legal Advocate to provide direct services to intimate partner violence and sexual violence survivors, including but not limited to: crisis counseling, safety planning, emergency assistance, information and referrals. The Legal Advocate is not a lawyer and does not give legal advice, but will focus on legal advocacy.

The Legal Advocate participates on Saving Grace’s legal advocacy team. They assist clients with filling out and filing family court paperwork, and attending hearings. They also assist clients with filling out and filing protective order paperwork, and attending hearings.

Qualified candidates will have strong organization skills, the ability to remain calm under stress, healthy personal boundaries, and a commitment to treating all members of our community with dignity and respect. Qualified candidates will also have one to two years working in family violence, child development, social services, anti-oppression or related experience and/or training; or ability to demonstrate understanding of IPV and intersectionality, competence in navigating systems, and desire to empower survivors.

Saving Grace does not have any degree or educational requirements or expectations.

This position is 35 hours per week.

$21.10/per hour (+5% if bilingual) depending on experience, with a generous benefit package.
