COMMUNITY VIOLENCE PREVENTION

What is the Program?

Our Business Violence Prevention Program partners with local bars and restaurants to help raise awareness and prevent intimate partner violence in our community. Through this program, participating establishments display posters and coasters featuring our TALK framework, which stands for Talk, Ask, Leave, and Keep Supporting. These materials encourage open discussions about violence prevention and provide resources to those who may need support. By working together, businesses can play an active role in creating safer, more informed spaces for everyone.

TELL - The person being harmed you’ll help

ASK - Others in the area for help

LEAVE - Help the person being harmed leave

KEEP SUPPORTING - The person being harmed

What’s Expected of the Businesses?

Participating businesses are simply asked to hang the provided posters and use the coasters in their establishment to promote awareness and start conversations. If you or your employees would like more information or resources about violence prevention, please feel free to reach out to us at [insert email].

What’s the Impact?

By displaying the posters and coasters, businesses help create a visible show of support for survivors of intimate partner violence. This can provide a sense of safety, reduce isolation, and encourage survivors to seek help. The simple act of raising awareness in a public space can be a powerful step toward connecting survivors with the resources and support they need to heal.
